Frequently Asked Questions

Trials and tests carried out on vehicles of different models, ages and uses have shown an average 20% improvement in fuel consumption and a significant reduction in emissions. In an everyday environment the exact impact of Oxcetane on a vehicle is harder to estimate, because there are many parameters. All new engine’s emissions are tested and most are reported by the manufacturer. When an engine is new and clean of any deposits caused by use, it should perform at its peak levels, matching the manufacturer’s claims. With use, in the engine’s chambers where fuel is burned, there will be varying amounts of deposits, generally of carbon. The negative effects of this are well known as causing cavitation, misfire, reduced engine performance, sluggish acceleration, reduced fuel economy and increased emissions. The use of Oxcetane in the fuel will restore the engine to the same state of cleanliness that existed when the engine is brand new. We cannot predict accurately what levels of emissions reduction or fuel economy Oxcetane will facilitate without measuring a vehicle’s levels, nor can we assess how ‘dirty’ the engine is. We do know that in most non-new cars a significant improvement will be achieved up to near new levels and, for new cars and those that use Oxcetane regularly, they will at least maintain their performance, reduce maintenance and increase engine longevity. Through using Oxcetane, many of our clients have reported improvements of 20-33% or more in fuel efficiency. For emissions, the changes are most notable for many during MOT testing, enabling even older, high mileage cars to pass the emissions test.
Oxcetane is entirely safe to add while using Adblue. Oxcetane is added to the fuel and Adblue is injected into the exhaust system. Tests have shown that Adblue consumption decreases in proportion with decreasing diesel consumption.

Generally, it is recommended that 10ml of Oxcetane is added per 40 liters of fuel, and if more is added it has no detrimental effects.

It can be added before or after filling up with fuel via the fuel inlet or by adding to storage tanks. Oxcetane works immediately and continually on the fuel to which is added.

When adding Oxcetane to a tank with a volume exceeding 4,000 liters, we recommend proceeding in stages. For example, stop filling every 4,000 liters and add 1 liter of Oxcetane. Repeat until the tank is completely filled. Please refer to the instructions for use you received with your first order.

To ensure complete safety in all aspects, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (available on request).

Please ensure good ventilation where Oxcetane is handled and used. In work spaces ventilation/exhaustion systems should be in place to prevent of formation of aerosols.

Oxcetane is flammable and should be kept away from any ignition sources and no one should smoke anywhere in its vicinity.

Oxcetane should be stored in a cool and well-ventilated place to prevent electrostatic charges. All receptacles that contain the fluid must be tightly sealed. ADR-SDR regulations must be complied with during transport.
